As I got ready for bed tonight I decided to try reading a book called "A Holy Ambition" by John Piper. It looks incredibly good and is about preaching the Gospel where it is unwelcome. I opened to the first page and immediately, readers block. Nothing. I just couldn't make myself read it. This isn't the first time Ive encountered this problem either. I've tried on numerous occasions to read a more serious book such as "Celebration of Discipline", and "Forgotten God". Every time it never fails I just stare at the pages and feel that the books are completely above me. Honestly I know each one of these books are wonderful and were recommended by very trust worthy people but my brain can't seem to get past the seriousness I guess. I prefer a drama packed story, some Karen Kingsbury, or a beautiful truth from the Bible but for whatever reason I CANNOT get myself immersed in one of these serious Discipline books. Life is much like this also. We choose to trust God more when may good things are going on. When things are exciting and intriguing we jump right in to a outstanding relationship with God. When things are flipped and things get boring are just become the "norm" its hard to maintain that relationship and discipline ourselves in normal quiet times and prayer. I think tomorrow I will give "A Holy Ambition" another try, after all God gives me MANY trys. There is no ending to Gods love, so when things get boring and "normal" don't forget God. Maintain that relationship with a thirst for Gods will, not obligation.

First Post!
I was just going to use this for this summer to get you all up dated, but what the heck why not spill some other details here and there.
I spent most of the day humming along to Kari Jobe's song "My Beloved". I cant help but get slightly teared eyed when I think of how incredible this love is that we have FREE. Take advantage of this love my friends. This love is pure, beautiful and covers all iniquity.
